Rubbermaid's New LunchBlox Kits Review

A blog post by Stacey

I was excited to receive the LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit, as this will be my first review for Sometimes You Win.  When I opened the box, I was impressed by how the containers fit together to create a compact food storage system.  I soon realized that the kit did not come with a lunch bag in which to place the containers.  The lunch bag I already own would not fit the product stacked, as it is intended to be used.

Pros:  A compact way to bring your lunch to work or school.  The containers are the perfect size for a sandwich and three sides.  They are not too big, nor too small, and promote healthy portion control.  The Blue Ice™ pack keeps food cool if you are unable to place your lunch in the refrigerator. It is also BPA-free, microwave and dishwasher safe.
Cons:  I would need to buy an additional LunchBlox™ Lunch Bag to properly carry this in a stacked position.  The cost of the two items together is a little steep for my taste.

I'd like this product even more if both pieces were sold together at a lower price point.
The LunchBlox™ Sandwich Kit retails for $12.99 and the LunchBlox™ Lunch Bag retails for $10.99.  It is available at Rubbermaid.com, Target, Kmart, Amazon.com, and select grocery and Wal-Mart stores.

  1. I want to get one of these kits. I like that it fits a sandwich perfectly and that it is microwaveable. It's also great that it helps with portion control.
