Tell us about your giveaway entering. Do you enter a lot, a little, only certain types, new to this, or a sweeps veteran?
I have been entering giveaways for just a few months (May-ish of this year). I enter almost every cloth diaper related giveaway that I see, but have entered others that catch my eye!
I'm very strategic: I compile every giveaway that I see in a blog post, email or linky in a word document with the link and try to order it by end date. Then when I enter the giveaway I put it into an Excel Spreadsheet with the end date, blog, prize, and any daily entries. I grey them out when they expire, and highlight the ones I've won in blue. From May - July I've entered at least 300 giveaways!


My husband always told me I needed a hobby, and now I have one! He doesn't mind because it helps saves us money! (so far...)

PR Blogs Work: Krispy Kreme Edition

If you follow Laughing Lindsay's Blog, you might remember that last month she had two posts about Krispy Kreme's flavor of the month, Lemon donuts! I have to admit I didn't even enter, I thought Krispy Kreme is far from here, I wouldn't drive all the way there for a donut (it's about 15 miles... each way) even if it was free. Well, I guess I forgot to take into account that I love lemon cake. I started thinking about how I've never tried a lemon donut before AND it would be fun to let the boys see how donuts are made. So I packed up the boys and took a little trip. The donut was delicious... even if I did have to pay for it :-)

I think it's important that I post this because pr blogs and blog giveaways DO work. We are getting your message. We do buy your products and have good feelings about your companies because you are supporting the blogging community.

What I like about their contests are that they are very easy to enter. (You do have to sign up first but it's free) It is about 5 clicks, no typing required. It asks you to verify your address and add the book to your 'to be read' shelf. That's it! I have won 3 times already. Each time I was told to expect to receive the book within 6 weeks and each time I received it within 7 days! We Do Listen: Free Animated Storybooks

Have you heard of the We Do Listen foundation?

They currently have 7 free animated storybooks online. Their motto is "Enabling Children to feel good about themselves" and that says a lot about their company philosophy.

My 6 year old son and I just checked out Howard B Wigglebottom Learns to Listen (by Howard Binkow). The characters are really cute and the voices are soothing and not at all annoying. It was the perfect length of book to keep his attention and he was able to read along with the pattern style story. It is about a rabbit who will not listen and all the silly mishaps that happen because of this. He then learns his lesson and the next day is more productive. 

The We Do Listen foundation also offers free printable posters and lesson plans for each story. You can also find fun songs and games on their site for no charge. I love their Stop Bullying section where they have Solutions for Peace & Safety at home and school. Howard also has an online store if you would like to purchase paper copies of his books.
I love this website because it's educational, wholesome and free. I encourage you all to check it out. We plan to visit again soon and check out the Howard B Wigglebottom and the Monkey on his Back: A Tale about Telling the Truth.
